CONDITIONS OF BOOKING AND GENERAL INFORMATION
- TENANTS agree to take good care of the Le Manoir and to leave it as clean and tidy as they found it and will replace breakages where practicable or pay the cost of same quality replacement. This is the main condition of acceptance of any booking.
- HOLIDAY PERIOD: In order that the property can be thoroughly inspected and cleaned between lets, holidays commence at 4 p.m. on arrival day and terminate at 10 a.m. on departure day.
- BOOKINGS:
- A deposit of 30% of the total rental to be paid when the booking is made. This is non-returnable and you should ensure that your holiday insurance covers cancelled bookings.
- The balance of the rental must reach us 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday together with a refundable "Good Housekeeping Deposit" of £200 from which we reserve the right to deduct the cost of broken or missing inventory items or other than normal cleaning being necessary by us. This in no way invalidates any claims by us for damage or cleaning valued in excess of the said deposit. If we do not receive your deposit by the due date we may assume you have cancelled your booking and may seek to re-let the property. You should ensure that your travel insurance covers cancellation as you will be held responsible for the balance of the rent due. If the property is re-let the cost of advertising and administration will be deducted from that source before any credit is available to you.
- If you book within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday the whole of the rent plus the "Good Housekeeping deposit is required as a condition of booking.
- OCCUPANCY: The property is offered only on the understanding that no more than the maximum number of people as indicated use it. As we offer primarily family holidays we reserve the right during school holiday periods to refuse or curtail any booking which appears via the booking form or any other information received not to meet this requirement either by numbers in the party or composition except with our express written permission.
- PETS cannot be brought into the home. (Some of our visitors are allergic to animals.)
- LINEN, duvets, pillows and indoor towels are all provided. No indoor furnishings or towels are to be used in the garden.
- ELECTRICITY, gas, and central heating oil are all provided at no extra charge.
- LIABILITY: No liability is accepted in respect of loss or damage to the client or any member of his or her party, their baggage, car or contents resulting from war, strikes, adverse weather conditions or sickness or for loss or damage caused by a third party. The pool and other equipment is used entirely at your own risk.
- COMPLAINTS: If you feel you have reasonable grounds for complaint about your holiday home we must be contacted immediately so that appropriate action can be taken. No such matters can be dealt with after completion of your holiday/rental period. You should advise us immediately of any faults or breakdowns to plumbing, machinery or other equipment so that we can effect as rapid repair as possible both for your benefit and that of succeeding tenants.
- ACCESS: The property owners, representative or agent shall be allowed access to the house at any reasonable time for essential maintenance or repairs. Whenever possible this would be by prior arrangement and during normal working hours.
- CANCELLATION by ourselves: In the unlikely event that your holiday accommodation becomes unavailable due to reasons beyond our control we will try to find alternative of similar standard. If we fail in this or the alternative fails to meet with your approval we will repay all monies in full and shall not be under any other liability.
- INFORMATION. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of information given either orally or written and all representations are made in good faith, no such representation will create any liability on the part of the owners.
- GOOD HOUSEKEEPING DEPOSITS are repaid after departure by a cheque on a UK bank.
- CHILDREN must be supervised by their parents or guardians at all times. We provide no supervision. We recommend that they use suitable footwear when in the garden as the clover in the lawns attract bees and stung feet are not uncommon. If your children are allergic to insect bites and stings consult your doctor for suitable protective treatment.
- THE POOL is heated by solar panels and is in use from the end of the first week in May until the first week in October. The maximum depth is 1m 55cms. Diving and horseplay in the pool area is forbidden because of the danger of accidents. Plastic glasses are provided for use in the pool area but absolutely no bottles or glasses may be taken there. (When broken it is virtually impossible to find bits of glass in the water creating an unacceptable risk for other users.)
The foregoing Conditions are not intended to impose an unreasonable restriction on you. It is hoped that they will act as guidelines ensuring that those before you leave both the house and equipment in the state in which you wished to find it, also that you will treat those who next holiday here with similar consideration. If anything is not to your liking please say so, we want your visit here to be a memorable one so that you will come again and again.
